About the Author
Throughout this book, Ryan Krause identifies many
spiritual victories in the most difficult of circumstances.
He has also presented the Lord’s teachings in such a way
that it is possible to reach even those who have not yet
found Christ.
Reflections from the Battlefield is a provocative and
inspiring account of God's presence in a most unlikely
setting. Looking back on my own experience in Vietnam as a
Navy A-6 fighter pilot, I would have loved to have had this
book to help me through those times.
Having served as the Training Officer for the Mobilization
Training Command at Camp Pendleton during Operation Desert
Storm, I have witnessed firsthand the courage and dedication
of the men and women in our military. This book is a
testament of the power of God’s will even in the crucible of
combat.
Reflections from the Battlefield is a true, firsthand
account of US Marines winning a war in their spirit so they
could win a war in Iraq. Ryan reveals the war-tested truths
about what enables the human spirit to remain strong even in
the worst of circumstances. They are the same principles
that will empower your own spirit.
Reviews
"Outstanding Read" October 17, 2005 I recommend to not only troops serving In the Military but to all since we are all on the Battlefield and it brings reassurance that God is with us wherever we go in order for us to fulfill our purpose in HIS plan.
"Life Changing book!" October 14, 2005 The other thing compelling about Reflections is that it brings real answers and hope to those struggling with real problems in life. I encourage everyone I meet here on the battlefield to read this book and pass it on!
"Lovely Book" October 10, 2005 This book would be a comfort to those that have family or friends serving in Iraq.
"A Powerful Book" I'm excited since reading the chapter last night, as it really made me feel connected to the soldiers and their families. Your book reaches all kinds of avenues of inspiration! Thank you, your book has confirmed for me my own personal small way to contribute support and hopefully Christ's love to these people who give so much every day. God bless you.
To God Be the Glory!!!! Yes, your book has stirred thought, but more so action to God-it is doing a great work in my unit as there are about 50% of us on our second tour and the question as posed by you in your book-paraphrased, "Lord what is your purpose for my life in that you have placed me in Iraq for a second time." My wife and I posed that question to ourselves this summer as we began to prepare for my departure and God reaffirmed us his purpose for us to come to a point of refinement and daily renewal of His will in our lives...although my wife is in Clarksville, but the separation and deployment difficulties has forced her to see God's refinement in her life and ditto for me on a daily basis... Then while reading your book-it struck a homerun for me and for many others as it ministered from the point of view of having to come to grips with your Christian walk with Christ as outlined in James, more so with the practicality of combat and its rigors in Iraq. Brother, keep on keeping on-I am seeing the personal and corporate revival you spoke of in your book, as in my first tour but stronger....the Lord works in mysterious ways. Be blessed. ©Copyright 2005-2006, Blest Press Publishing. All rights reserved. |
